Year 10 Special Assemblies for Term 3-2010: This is notification that I intend to hold three Year 10 Special Assemblies. Therefore you can enter these dates and times into your plan book. The reasons for this are to:
· Promote the camp and activity week · Encourage students to participate. · Communicate to the students the expectations, standards and requirements for camp and activity week. · Reinforce and check permission/medical forms, gear sheets and special requirements.. · Health and Safety. The first assembly will be held during normal assembly time for Year 10 on the Wednesday 13th October. I am planning to have two further assemblies on Friday 12th November Period 5 and 6 (after day 1 junior exams) and on Monday 22nd November for all of Period 4. The venue will be the Gym. It might be a good idea for the organizers of Year 9 to have an assembly on the 12th or on the Monday 15th Period 5 and 6 and use the gym as it will be free. The reasons for these times are: § Friday 12th we have exactly two weeks to go. § Monday 22nd gives us the time to do final checks before we go to camp. § Wednesday 24th is the last day for permission forms and money to hand in.
